Publisher

This site and the WowAddons app are published by Solar Beam Studio (Cyclop Studio), a French SASU, SIREN 900 029 208. Publication director: Alexandre Frih. Contact: hello@solarbeam.studio.

Host

Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend Street, San Francisco, CA 94107, United States. The site, its database and the published addons are stored with Cloudflare.

The app

WowAddons runs on your computer. It sends no usage count and no crash report. To search, install and update addons it talks to this site and to CurseForge, which see your IP address as any website would.

When it installs an addon from this site, it sends a random number made on your computer, so that an install is counted once. That number names nobody; we store it only scrambled with a key of ours.

It keeps a few things in a WowAddons folder of your computer: the game folder you chose, your CurseForge key if you gave one, the list of addons it installed, that random number, and, once you link it to your account, the key that lets it publish. Deleting that folder removes them; Unlink also revokes the key on our side.

Accounts

You need an account only to publish. It holds your email address and the name you chose. The address signs you in with a six-digit code and is used for nothing else: never shown, never sold, no newsletter. The name is public, on the addons you publish. The codes are sent from a solarbeam.studio address by Resend, Inc. (United States), from its servers in Ireland. To delete your account, write to hello@solarbeam.studio.

A report sends us the text you wrote and the addon's name, nothing about you.

Cookies

One cookie, only once you sign in: it keeps you signed in, for 90 days at most. No ad network, no tracking cookie.

Visits

Visits to this site are counted by Zenhook Analytics, a tool of Solar Beam Studio hosted by Hetzner in Finland, with no cookie and no identifier in your browser: the page viewed, the site you came from, the country, the kind of device, and a click on a download or install button. The fingerprint that avoids counting you twice changes every day: nobody is followed from one day to the next. Nothing is counted when your browser sends Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track.

To stop the site being flooded, a scrambled form of your IP address, changed every day, limits how many codes and reports one visitor can ask for.

Trademarks

World of Warcraft is a trademark of Blizzard Entertainment. WowAddons is not affiliated with Blizzard Entertainment or CurseForge. Addons belong to their authors.
